![]() ![]() I imagine that maybe 1% (or less) of all users rely on external sound card, let alone the same as mine and I don't expect a lot of people to be able to reproduce this issue, so if anyone could provide some guidance regarding what I should be checking, I'll be happy to provide whatever additional information might be needed to fix this bug. Needless to say, this is incredibly aggravating. HDMI audio does NOT lag, so it's something that's going on between audacity, pulseaudio, and the sound card. Pulseaudio Volume Control (pavucontrol) lets me switch output from Soundblaster to HDMI (via video card). 5 seconds behind the video (and growing). If I kill pulseaudio, the lag seems to reset to zero, but that doesn't keep it from growing, and after about 10 minutes, the audio is AGAIN about. ![]() For example, if I have an audio file with beeps (like the video above) and I play it with audacity, the beeps are heard AFTER the cursor shows that they should be heard, and the delay keeps growing. When I open a recording in audacity (audio only), and the lag is present, sound occurs AFTER the cursor shows it playing. I’m using this video to test: (an mp4 version of this file can be downloaded from ). I tested this with the version from the repositories (2.4.something), as well as with the most recent appimage and both require a reboot in order to get rid of this issue. I never had this issue with my old computer (Mint 19, built-in audio). Soundblaster Audigy RX PCIe.Īfter running Audacity audio starts lagging and the lag keeps increasing, even after closing audacity, until the computer is rebooted. ![]()
